The Daily Munch

Welcome back!

This is a blog that will discuss with you culinary tips, ideas, and health discussions. There are recipes complete with pictures to help you out. Before today, I never actually *knew* how to make pita or jelly roll cookies. I like to cook, so this is great! I know I’ll be coming back to this blog often to check for new recipes!

Tyra’s Beauty Obsessions

This blog will tell you everything you need to know about beauty and beauty products. With tips on everything from acne treatment to how to get smoky eyes, this blog will give you makeup ideas for every day or prom! There are also discussions on the stars and their makeup professionals. In a world so obsessed with beauty, is this an encouragement or simply part of the culture?

Half of Me

Half of Me is the blog of a woman who set out to lose half her weight. This dedicated woman started out weighing 372 pounds. She now weighs 179 pounds and has written a book about her experience, Half Assed. Within two and a half years, she lost 193 pounds. That’s an amazing accomplishment! I admire her dedication. If half the world had half her determination, ten times more would get done. Heck, I wish I had a quarter of her determination!

Dirt Rhodes Scholar

This blog is written by a man who has done just about everything. He was a Marine, a veteran, a staff member for Ron Paul, a graduate of Yale law school, a firearms instructor, and is currently writing columns for magazines and a novel. The next thing you know, he’s going to be flying off to become one of those Chicago personal injury lawyers! With a discussion on just about any topic, this blog will capture your attention and keep it for good.

Nancy’s Baby Names

This blog will give you all sorts of interesting baby name trivia and information. With the latest update on weird celebrity baby names (a poor kid named Peanut springs to mind–see her latest entry) and top 100 names in the state, this blog will keep you interested and informed. You don’t have to be expecting to be interested in these names. As a wannabe author, I can tell you that I often peruse baby name sites looking for that perfect name. But seriously, PEANUT? Is this kid every going to be able to buy personalized pens? Of course, with the money his parents have, I guess he can afford to special-order them.

The Beauty Denominator

This is a cool-looking blog with unique ideas and perspectives. This is the blog of a 45-year-old soon-to-be cosmetologist. While this blog won’t give you the latest fashions or a new acne treatment cream, it will make you think. With discussions on topics such as rotten tomatoes and fast food chains and baby birds, this blog covers everything! I would definitely advise visiting this blog.

Retro-Food

Amazing! A retro recipe site! I love cooking, so this blog is great for me. I’m really looking forward to trying out the Red-Hot Applesauce Jello and the Deviled Crab (can you hear me drooling over this?). With food like this, I’m going to have to throw a party to show it off! Now, where did I put my party invitations? What? You’re still here? Why aren’t you visiting Retro-Food? You’ll become fast friends!

Geeks Are Sexy

I like this blog! I have to admit, though, I’ve been called a geek before, so perhaps I’m a bit biased. If you’re looking for anything from dancing cornstarch to Star Wars themes to flash memory, this is the blog to visit. It’s definitely a technology blog, so if you’re not interested in it, you’re really missing out. Warning: This page will load slowly because of the all Youtube videos that are on it.

Debt Free

This is a blog that aims to get you out of debt. If you are worried about looming debt or need foreclosure help, this is the blog to look to. With tips about online banks, stock portfolios, and a discussion about national debt, this blog is more useful than entertaining. If I were very worried about debt, this would be the first blog I would go to! You know, it never occurred to me before how much help you can find on a blog.

Brookside Dental

This is an informative blog about cosmetic dentistry. Now, I don’t know if fillings are considered cosmetic, but I’ve had that done. Whether you’re looking for a charlotte cosmetic dentist or one in Bellevue, WA (which is where this blog is based), cosmetic dentistry has standards nationwide, so you don’t have to worry about it not being the same if you move. Well, it might even be better. Two of the dentists at Brookside were named as America’s top dentists.
